    Local Same Day Delivery

    We provide local same day delivery to the following zip codes: 28201, 28202, 28203, 28204, 28205, 28206, 28207, 28208, 28209, 28210, 28211, 28212, 28213, 28214, 28215, 28216, 28217, 28218, 28219, 28220, 28211,, 28222, 28223, 28224, 28226, 28227, 28229, 28230, 28232, 28233, 28234, 28235, 28237, 28262, 28266, 28269, 28270, 28271, 28272, 28273, 28275, 28277, 28278, 28105 and 28134. 

     

    We provide local same day delivery to the following local hospitals: Carolinas Medical Center (Main, Mercy, Levine Children’s, Pineville & University), Presbyterian Hospital (Main, Matthews & Hemby Children’s)  

     

    Same day deliveries to the above zip codes and hospitals must be received by 12:30 PM EST for us to be able to deliver the same day. 

     

    Changes to Orders

    Please contact Gift Basket Collections directly at 704-375-8429 to make any changes to your order.  We ask that you do not email changes to us as all orders are processed as soon as they are received.  Changes to orders must be received prior to 1 PM EST on the orders processing day.  Changes received to orders after 1 PM EST on the orders processing day may not be possible to correct.

     

    Shipping

    All orders placed with 3 Day, 2 Day or Next day air shipping by 1:00 PM EST ship the same day. Air orders placed after 1:00 PM EST ship the next business day. Ground orders placed before the 1 PM EST cut off, ship within 1-2 business days and are not guaranteed to ship that same day.  When a Ground order is placed after the 1 PM EST cut off, the first processing day becomes the next business day.  Ground orders placed after the 1 PM cut off will ship within the next two business days.  As an example a ground order placed at 7:20 PM on Tuesday night will ship on Wednesday or Thursday.  Ground orders placed Saturday and Sunday will ship Monday or Tuesday.

     

    Saturday Delivery

    Saturday delivery is available only by shipping next day air on Friday and requesting Saturday delivery in the shipping comments. Standard air options deliver Monday thru Friday only. Saturday delivery is the cost of Next Day air service plus an additional $15.50 and again is by special request only. We do not offer 2nd day air Saturday delivery service except under special promotions and offers. Transit times do not include the day a gift ships, Holidays, Saturday or Sunday.

     

    Alaska and Hawaii – We will need to add an additional $15.50 to the standard ground prices for ground shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. (Excluding Fruit and Cookies)

     

    We will need to add $24.50 to the Next Day air prices for expedited shipping to Alaska & Hawaii. (Excluding Fruit and Cookies)

     

    APO, FPO & PO Box Shipping

    All APO, FPO, PO Boxes and Canadian shipments ship via the USPS.  All of these shipments take one to two additional days to ship out.  In addition there are no loss claims, late delivery refunds or damage claims honored under any circumstances.  You ship these orders at your own risk. When shipping to any and all Military bases the proper zip and address format are:

    Fruit and Cookies are not available for shipping to PO boxes, FPO, APO, or Canadian shipments. Standard shipping and delivery days are Monday-Friday.  Saturday Delivery is available upon request for an additional fee.  We will need to add an additional $15.50 to the next day air price if you request Saturday Delivery.

     

    PO Box Destinations

    We are not able to offer shipping to all US PO box destinations and they are only shipped through the US Post Office.  All USPS shipments do take 1-2 extra days to ship out and do not fall under our standard shipping guidelines. US mail delivery offers limited tracking information and is not as reliable as UPS and or Federal Express. Tracking information may or may not include various scans as the item is en-route to the destination. Not all postal shipments will be trackable prior to delivery. We will not be responsible for non-trackable packages. You ship these items at your own risk and replacement items will not be shipped when an item is not trackable. Once an item is delivered it will offer proof of delivery. Standard ground service is the only option on all postal shipments. We do not offer express service of any kind on USPS shipments.

     

    Shipping Internationally

    We offer shipping to all Canadian addresses via UPS. Shipments take one extra day to ship out and are shipped via UPS. However, there will be no claims offered or honored on these shipments. These are shipped at your own risk. No loss claims, late delivery refunds or damage claims honored under any circumstances. You ship these orders at your own risk.

     

    Fruit Restrictions & Shipping

    Due to the perishable nature of fruit we have several restrictions and limitations on shipping. Due to USDA or State-level Departments of Agriculture, some fruit items cannot be shipped to certain States.  Please refer to the list below: 

     

                Arizona – No Fresh Fruit can be shipped into Arizona.
                California – No Fresh Citrus can be shipped into California.
                Florida – No Fresh Citrus or Mangos can be shipped into Florida.
                Idaho – No Apples or Pears can be shipped into Idaho.
                Louisiana – No Fresh Citrus can be shipped into Louisiana.
                Oregon – No Fresh Citrus can be shipped into Oregon.
                Texas – No Fresh Citrus can be shipped into Texas.
                Washington – No Fresh Citrus can be shipped into Washington. 

     

    We cannot ship fresh fruit to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses or any countries beside the United States at this time. 

     

    The daily shipping cut off for fruit orders is 1:00 PM EST.  Please remember all fruit gifts have shipping restrictions.   Monday and Tuesday 3 day, 2 day and next day air shipping are the available options. Wednesday 2 day or next day are the only options.  Thursday Next Day air is the only option.  Any and all orders placed on Wednesday and Thursday with anything other than the options listed above will be held until the following Monday for shipping.  There is no shipping of fruit on Friday.  (We do not offer Saturday delivery on Fruit unless it is a local delivery.)

     

    Specialty Apples, Cookies & Strawberries are not available with ground shipping. Specialty Apples may not ship over the weekend. Orders for Chocolate Apples, Caramel Apples or Strawberries placed with a shipping method which will place them at UPS over a weekend will be held for shipping on Monday.  Specialty Cookies, Strawberries & Apples Strawberries are only available with Next Day air shipping at a special rate of $44.99.  Strawberries may not be shipped over the weekend.

     

    Chocolate Gifts

    As a reminder: Chocolate and perishable gifts need to ship via Next Day air May 15th through mid October if they are not being delivered locally.  

     

    The following gift baskets are recommended to ship via Next Day air only during this time with an additional $7.50 surcharge for ice and cold wrap. Please specify if you want the additional ice and cold wrap in the shipping comments area of your order. If you do not specify you want the ice we will not include it.


    81021 Chocolate Delights Gift Basket


    If you want to ship one of these gifts via ground we are more than happy to accommodate your request. You will be shipping these gifts at your own risk at all times from May through October. We do not offer refunds or discounts of any kind for melted or damaged chocolates even when they are shipped via air. We will of course add ice or cold wrap any time you wish to pay for it. But we can tell you the ice and cold wrap will not protect chocolate when an item sits in the heat for more than 1 day. It simply will not work and again we do not offer refunds or discounts on melted chocolate.

     

    All other gifts containing chocolate will have the chocolates substituted out for hard candies when the gift ships any way other than next day air.

     

    Substitutions and Returns

    We do reserve the right to make substitutions and do find the need to at various times throughout the year. Also, not all packaging may look identical to the products photographed as designer packaging does change quite frequently. With this in mind please be aware that a substitution or variance in flavor or packaging does not justify an item being returned at our expense, a discount or refund of any kind. If for any reason other than damages or errors on the part of Gift Basket Collections, if a customer wants to return a gift they may do so at their own expense plus an additional 20% restocking fee within 3 days of the gift being delivered. Original shipping charges are not refundable.

     

    If Gift Basket Collections has committed an error (excluding substitutions within standard parameters) or a gift is damaged in transit Gift Baskets Collections will retrieve the gift and refund it in full or re-ship it.  However we do not at any time allow recipients to keep a gift and receive a new one or a complete refund.  Discounts will be not offered, retrieving the gift and re-shipping or refunding will be the only options available.

     

    Claims and Returns

    All damage claims, discrepancies and late delivery claims must be made within 3 business days of the gift being received. There will be no exceptions to this policy. If a gift arrives damaged or there is a discrepancy in the gift ordered and what was received Gift Basket Collections will make every effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner and to your satisfaction.  If you dispose of the gift before we can verify the damages/discrepancy we will not issue any refund.

     

    If the gift is simply not wanted, or the customer is not satisfied for any other reason other than a Gift Basket Collections error, you may ship it back to us at your own expense as long as it shipped backwithin 3 days of being delivered.  A partial refund on the merchandise amount only will be offered, original shipping is not refunded. The refund will be based on the gifts perish ability and condition upon being returned. The gift must be unopened, untampered with and shipped back within 3 days of being received.

     

    If the gift is damaged in any way which includes but is not limited to heat damage, or we have made an error in sending the incorrect gift: We will call tag the original gift and either ship a new one or refund the gift in full once the original gift has been retrieved. However, if we cannot call tag the original gift, no refund or credit will be offered. Retrieving the original gift is the only way we have of verifying the recipients claim or placing a claim with UPS if necessary.

     

    In the event there are items or pieces are missing, damaged, stale, melted or similar claims Gift Basket Collections will need the following information from the original box to begin to process your claim.  We will need all three lines of information off of the 1 x 2 5/8 white label off of the side/bottom of the original shipping box, not the UPS label. We cannot assist you in your claim without all of this information.

     

    All damage claims, discrepancies and late delivery claims must be made within 3 business days of the gift being received. There will be no exceptions to this policy. If a gift arrives damaged or there is a discrepancy in the gift ordered and what was received Gift Basket Collections will make every effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner and to your satisfaction.  Credits and or refunds will be at the sole discretion of Gift Basket Collections and will only be issued if damaged gifts or discrepancies can be verified. If you dispose of the gift before we can verify the damages/discrepancy we will not be able to issue a refund or discount.

     

    All gifts returned through no fault of Gift Basket Collections will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Shipping charges usually consist of shipping to the recipient, shipping back to Gift Basket Collections and any address correction fees associated with the return. Returned food gifts are not reusable and all food items must be thrown out due to possible heat and temperature damages. Re-shipments of returned gifts are handled as new orders and all fees associated with a new order will apply.  Fruit baskets, Cookie Bouquets and all Specialty Cookies & Fortune Cookies do not receive refunds of any kind when they are returned due to a bad address or the recipient refusing the item. These items must be thrown away and cannot be restocked.

     

    Gifts delivered late or not according to the time in transit map may receive a partial shipping refund based on the circumstances. There will be no discount or refund on the gift itself when delivered late and a gift may not be returned due to a late delivery.

     

    Fees & Surcharges

    There will be a $14.50 address correction fee for all ground orders and $17.50 address correction fee for air orders to correct a bad address, incorrect zip codes and non-deliverable address information supplied. We will notify you when UPS or Fed Ex notifies us that there is an issue with the address supplied. This may take 3-7 business days depending on the destination.  UPS nor Fed Ex notify us 100% of the time prior to the charges being applied to our account, regardless of the prior notification the fee will still be due.

     

    It is at all times the sole responsibility of you to provide a complete and accurate address and delivery information. Gift Basket Collections will not be held responsible for non delivered items due to bad address information being supplied and the aforementioned charges will charged to you.

     

    If a package is returned to us by UPS due to a bad address, non-deliverable address or recipient refusal there is will be a charge of $15.00 for return shipping and a 20% restocking fee in addition to the address correction fee.  Gifts delivered late or not according to the time in transit map may receive a partial shipping refund based on the circumstances. There will be no discount or refund on the gift itself when delivered late and a gift may not be returned due to a late delivery.

     

    Late Delivery & Service Guarantee Refunds

    In the event a carrier delivers a gift late a shipping refund may be approved but, is not always guaranteed. Carriers do not offer refunds of any kind on late deliveries involving a bad address, missing apartment number; incorrect zip codes or any other information supplied which is not accurate. In addition carriers do not offer refunds involving but not limited to the following: Acts of God, weather conditions, Emergency conditions beyond their control, mechanical delays of aircrafts or other equipment failures and several additional issues.
